Water Treatment Products
Developed in 2011, OC 360 is a polymeric coagulant designed as an advanced alternative to traditional inorganic coagulants like Aluminum Sulphate and Ferric Chloride. Its unique formulation delivers consistent water clarification across a wide range of contaminant types and loadings, making it suitable for diverse industrial applications. While the per-gallon cost is higher than conventional coagulants, OC 360 offers significant advantages, including lower use rates, reduced sludge production, minimal metal residuals, and a mildly acidic pH that minimizes corrosion. Field applications since mid-2011 have demonstrated excellent performance, efficiency, and cost savings.
- OC 360 was developed in 2011 as an alternative to traditional inorganic coagulants such as Aluminum Sulphate and Ferric Chloride.
- The product is a blend of Polymeric agents that have proven to be effective at water clarification in a wide array of applications in different industrie
- Unlike most competing products, it's performance is consistent in water streams that have significant fluctuations in contaminant type and loading.
- Although its cost per gallon is higher than the inorganic coagulants mentioned above, it has several distinct advantages:
- 1.) Significantly lower use rate - which essentially nullifies the cost difference;
- 2.) Substantially lower sludge volumes generated - which saves processing & disposal costs;
- 3.) Reduction or elimination of flocculant due to large floc size;
- 4.) Essentially zero metal residual in treated water;
- 5.) A mildly acidic pH (~ 3.5) reduces corrosion attack by the strongly acidic Al and Fe coagulants
- Field use began in mid 2011 and results have been excellent across a range of applications.
Lower Use Rate
Requires significantly less product per application.
Reduced Sludge
Generates minimal waste, saving disposal costs.
Zero Metal Residual
Treated water is free of harmful metals.
Corrosion Control
Mildly acidic pH reduces equipment corrosion.
What is OC 360?
OC 360 is a polymeric coagulant developed as an alternative to traditional inorganic coagulants like Aluminum Sulphate and Ferric Chloride.
How does OC 360 perform in fluctuating water conditions?
It provides consistent water clarification even in streams with significant variations in contaminant type and loading.
Why is OC 360 cost-effective despite a higher per-gallon price?
Its lower use rate and reduced sludge generation offset the higher per-gallon cost, resulting in overall savings.
Does OC 360 leave metal residues in treated water?
No, OC 360 leaves essentially zero metal residual, ensuring cleaner, safer water.
What are the additional benefits of OC 360?
It reduces or eliminates flocculant needs, generates larger flocs, and has a mildly acidic pH that minimizes corrosion compared to traditional coagulants.
